Thanks for this, Vashi. It’s awesome. I particularly loved the one about Lawrence of Arabia.
Would you consider doing one with Raiders of the Lost Ark? I know you’re a fan and already counted the shots.
I’ve been following you for some years now. Thanks for all the work you share.
Thank you for the kind words Fernando! Raiders is on my list and I’ve been chipping away. It has more than 1600 shots and it takes a while to cut it up and pick the best image for each shot. Stay tuned!!!
Hey Vashi,
I love these! They’re such a great resource. I do wish you stuck to the vertical format though. Is there any chance you would want to do it both ways? What made you decide to switch to landscape on the 2001 version?
The reason I ask is that the vertical version does a much better job of painting the palette for the films as a whole. It’s very easy to see where the acts are and how light and tone change from beginning to end. I feel like the landscape versions break that up by having to go back and forth and placing scenes that are unrelated much closer in space.
Anyway, great to see the frames all in one place!
PS I’m a big anamorphics fan and your post on on the 40mm was really awesome.
